An email client marks an email as fraudulent when the text of a link looks like a web address, but the link actually leads somewhere else. To track clicks, Quanda replaces all links after sending with an address that goes through our system. When the link text is the address itself, for example www.yourcompany.com, the client sees that the link points elsewhere and flags the email as suspicious or fraudulent. The fix is to put the link on a word or a sentence, not on text that looks like an address.
Why emails get flagged
Imagine you write "Visit our website at www.yourcompany.com" in an email and turn the text www.yourcompany.com into a link to https://www.yourcompany.com. After sending, Quanda replaces the link with an address that goes through our system, for example https://yourcompany.onquanda.com/hg654kj6hg6rgfa768jacxzz9uzd8, and only from there redirects the recipient to your website. That is how you see in the statistics who clicked the link.
The email client, such as Thunderbird or Outlook, compares the link text with the real address, though. The visible address www.yourcompany.com does not match the address the link leads to, so the client concludes the sender is trying to trick the recipient and shows a warning above the email.

It does not matter who sends the email. You will see the same warning on emails from large companies like Google if their link text looks like a different address.
How to insert a link correctly
- In a text block in the Email editor, write text that describes the destination, for example "Visit our website".
- Select the word or the whole sentence you want to turn into a link.
- In the toolbar above the text, click the link icon and enter the destination address, for example https://www.yourcompany.com.
- Make sure the link text is not a web address and save the email.
| Link text | Result |
|---|---|
| www.yourcompany.com | the email client may mark the email as fraudulent |
| Visit our website | fine |
| See our offer on the website | fine, and a whole sentence is easier to spot |
Descriptive link text also tells the recipient right away what to expect after the click. How to track clicks is explained in What the terms in statistics mean. If you want your own domain in the links instead of onquanda.com, you can set up link branding.

No. The same happens to emails from any tool that tracks clicks by redirecting links, even from large companies like Google. All that matters is that the link text looks like a different address than the one the link leads to.
