You can insert a table into an email in Quanda in four ways: copy it from Excel into a text block, insert it as an image, insert its HTML code through the HTML component, or save a large table as a file and put the link to it into a button. For correct display on desktop and on mobile, an HTML table is the most reliable.

Method When it fits What to watch out for
Paste from Excel a smaller table with text and numbers the table must be narrower than the email, no images
Insert as an image a small overview with its own design text cannot be copied, it shrinks on mobile
HTML code a table that has to display correctly everywhere you need the table code, our support will send it
File via a button a large table or price list the recipient has to click and open the file

How to insert a table from Excel

  1. In Excel, select the cells of the table and copy them with Ctrl + C.
  2. In the Email editor, click into a text block where you want to insert the table.
  3. Paste the table with Ctrl + V.
  4. Check how the table displays in the email preview.

The table must only contain text and number values, no images. For correct display, we recommend inserting a table that is narrower than the whole email.

How to insert a table as an image

If you have a table prepared in another program exactly the way you want, take a screenshot of it (for example with the Print Screen key or the Snipping Tool) and insert it into the email with the Image component. Describe what the table shows in the image's alternative text. Text in an image cannot be copied, though, and it shrinks with the image on mobile.

How to insert a table through HTML

You can also insert a table as HTML code with the HTML component. On request, we will send you the code of a table you fill in yourself. Such a table is responsive, so you can be sure it displays correctly on desktop and on mobile.

How to offer a large table for download

We recommend not inserting large tables into the email, but offering them for download through a button:

  1. Save the table as a PDF to a shared storage service, for example Google Drive.
  2. Through the Share button (for some files hidden under the three dots), in the Get link section change the access to Anyone with the link.
  3. Paste the copied link into a button in the email.

The detailed procedure is described in Adding an attachment to a button. How to work with components is explained in Email editor of a simple email campaign.
