Six situations where an online survey pays off

Online survey, poll or satisfaction questionnaire: every situation has a ready-made template in the library. Edit the questions or use them as they are.

A finger presses the purple smiling face on a wooden box with three buttons, next to a neutral and a frowning face
A hand drops a wooden token into a jar with a neutral face, next to a full jar with a smiling face and an almost empty jar with a frowning face
A grey office chair with armrests, with a stethoscope with a purple rim hanging over its backrest
Hands place a purple roof tile into the last gap in the roof of a wooden model house
Paper check marks spill out of a torn paper bag, one of them is purple
A hand sticks a purple dot under the middle one of three posters with a lemon on a blue background

Feedback after a purchase

A short survey goes out right after the order or job is completed. The experience is fresh in the customer's mind, the response rate is higher and you see results continuously, not once a year.

  • Goes out automatically after the job or purchase is completed.
  • An unhappy answer triggers a notification, you call the same day.
Rating of customer service

Customer satisfaction

Find out what you do well and what to improve: overall satisfaction, quality, value for money, willingness to recommend. Catch unhappy customers before they leave.

  • Overall satisfaction, quality, value for money, willingness to recommend.
  • A happy customer gets a review request, an unhappy one alerts you.

Employee satisfaction

An anonymous survey of employee attitudes and opinions. You share the link outside Quanda campaigns, for example on the intranet, and Quanda does not match the respondent to a contact.

  • You share the link outside Quanda campaigns, the respondent stays anonymous.
  • Recommended once or twice a year, results in charts.

Product and project evaluation

Preparing a new product or service, or need feedback on a running project? A survey shows what customers value before you invest.

  • Feedback on a product, service or running project.
  • You know what customers value before you invest.

Company event planning

Date, programme, catering and transport based on what participants really want. The answers land in one table instead of dozens of e-mails.

  • Answers in one table instead of dozens of e-mails.

Market and design research

Which design people prefer, why customers buy from you and how they rate your website. A survey with images next to the questions helps you decide when you are not sure.

  • Images next to the questions: which design, packaging or website wins.
  • You decide on data, not on a hunch.

How it works

From the first question to evaluation in four steps

Online surveys are a module of the Quanda marketing platform, connected to e-mail campaigns and contacts. Building a survey needs no manuals or training, your first survey from a template goes out within an hour.

  1. Create the survey

Pick a template from the library or start from scratch. Add questions from 22 types, split them into pages and set branching based on the answers.

  2. Set the look

The design editor adds your logo, colours and font. The intro and closing pages tell the respondent what the survey is for and what happens next.

  3. Send it out

By an e-mail campaign or series from Quanda, by a link on the web or in chat, or via a QR code. From a campaign Quanda knows the respondent, from a link they stay anonymous.

  4. Evaluate the answers

Charts for every question, filters by answers, contacts or companies, a final report and export to XLSX or CSV. No manual retyping.

The detailed steps with examples are in the article 6 steps how to create a survey. You can go through the whole survey workflow, from questions to evaluation, in the free online course Working with Questionnaires and Collecting Feedback.

A survey that knows who answered

Surveys, e-mails and contacts live in one application in Quanda. That is why further communication can follow an answer right away.

Quanda knows the respondent

When the survey link goes out by an e-mail campaign or series from Quanda, the Completed surveys overview shows who answered next to every submission. You do not need to ask for a name or e-mail and save room for questions that matter.

A link shared outside Quanda, for example on a website or intranet, stays anonymous. That suits an employee satisfaction survey.

  • The respondent next to every submission from a campaign
  • A tag on the contact based on the answer, usable in segmentation
  • Filter results by contacts and companies

Automation based on answers

You tie three types of automation to a survey, each with an e-mail to the respondent, a notification for you or a tag. They work for respondents Quanda knows from a campaign.

  • The respondent opened the survey but did not submit it: a reminder goes out asking them to finish.
  • The respondent submitted the survey: a thank-you or the promised gift by e-mail, a notification for you, a tag added.
  • The respondent gave a specific answer: a happy customer gets a review request, an unhappy one triggers a notification for you.

Example: after a purchase the contact gets a tag, the tag triggers the survey and is removed after three months. As long as the contact has the tag, the survey is not sent again.

FAQ

What people ask before their first survey

An online survey is a set of questions the respondent fills in a browser on a computer or phone. The answers are stored straight in the application, where you evaluate them in charts and filters. In Quanda you build a survey from 22 question types, send it by e-mail or link and tie automation to the answers.

Surveys are a separately priced module for e-mail campaigns from €23 per month with yearly billing in the Standard plan. Together with e-mail campaigns the package starts at €24 per month. The Professional and Enterprise plans add advanced question types, branching and automation. Current prices are in the price list.

Yes. The Quanda trial is free for 14 days, with no card and no commitment. You send and evaluate a survey from the template library just like in a paid account.

Quanda offers 22 question types: text and numbers, one or more answers, a dropdown menu, satisfaction and consent scales, a percentage scale, star and smiley ratings, NPS, tables, create contact and file upload. The attitude scale, tables, create contact and multiple file upload are in the Professional and Enterprise plans. Details are in the help article Building a survey, question types.

Quanda limits neither the number of surveys nor the number of responses. You can create as many surveys as you need and send them to all your contacts.

Yes. You split the questions into pages and for each answer set which page the respondent continues to. An unhappy customer gets a follow-up question, a happy one skips it. Branching is in the Professional and Enterprise plans.

By an e-mail campaign or e-mail series straight from Quanda, by a link placed on a website, in chat or in a regular e-mail, or by a QR code. A campaign from Quanda identifies the respondent, a link shared outside Quanda stays anonymous. The steps are in the help article Survey distribution.

According to our internal analysis of surveys run by Quanda users, active and current customers respond at 50 to 70 percent, less active customers at 30 to 40 percent and potential customers at 10 to 35 percent. For an employee survey a good target is at least 70 percent of the people asked.

When the survey link goes out by a campaign or series from Quanda, the Completed surveys overview shows the respondent next to every submission. The answers are not stored on the contact, but based on the answers you can add a tag to the contact and keep working with it in segmentation and automation.

A survey shared by a link outside Quanda campaigns is anonymous: Quanda does not know the respondent and does not collect or store respondents' IP addresses. For surveys sent by a campaign only you see the respondent, in your own account. Data is stored in the EU and processing follows Quanda's privacy policy.

Every question has a chart and the distribution of answers; you filter results by answers, contacts or companies. The final report summarises the whole survey on one page. You export the answers to XLSX or CSV, also just for the filtered respondents. See the help article Analysis of answers.

Three types: a reminder to a respondent who opened the survey and did not submit it, an action after the survey is submitted (thank-you, gift, notification for you, tag) and an action based on a specific answer, for example a review request to a satisfied customer. Survey automation is in the Professional and Enterprise plans and works for respondents Quanda knows from a campaign. The setup is in the help article Automation in a survey.

A survey in Quanda is connected to e-mail campaigns and contacts: you send it with an e-mail campaign, you know who answered, and you send a reminder to those who did not. Based on the answers you add a tag to the contact or start an automation. You adjust the look of the survey in the design editor and our support team helps you with the setup.
