You can send a survey out in two ways: with a link you share anywhere and with a Quanda email campaign, which lets Quanda recognize the respondent. In both cases, first switch the survey status to Ready to use on the Distribution page, which activates the survey link.

While the survey is Under Construction, the Distribution page shows that the survey is in preparation. Click I want to change the survey status to "Ready to use" and activate the link. Quanda generates a link that leads straight to the survey. The icons next to the link open the survey in a new tab, copy the link, send the survey by email (the @ icon) or share it on Facebook and X (Twitter).

Method Does Quanda recognize the respondent? When to use it
Quanda email campaign Yes, in Completed Surveys you see who answered what Customer surveys, automations based on answers, reminders
Link shared outside Quanda (website, social media, regular email, intranet, QR code) No, the survey is anonymous Public surveys, employee satisfaction

The answers are not saved to the contact, they stay with the survey. Quanda recognizes the respondent by the link from the campaign, which is why automations based on answers work for them too.

How to send a survey by email

  1. On the Distribution page, click the @ icon next to the survey link. The Send the survey by e-mail window opens.
  2. Choose Invitation without reminder for a simple campaign or Invitation with auto reminders for a logic campaign. Quanda creates the campaign and opens its settings.
  3. Carry on building the campaign. In the email editor, insert the survey as a link: select the text, click the Insert Link icon and paste the survey address into the Enter the link URL field. You copy the address with the icon next to the link on the Distribution page.
  4. For better visibility, use a button: click it and in the Link section of its properties choose the Survey Link link type, pick the survey and enter a link title.
  5. Finish selecting the recipients and the sending settings and send the campaign with the invitation to fill in the survey.

What the advanced distribution settings are

Under Advanced settings on the Distribution page you check additional options:

  • Set the required number of completed surveys
  • Allow the respondent to go back in the survey
  • Show all answers after completing the survey
  • Require respondent identification by email before entering the survey
  • Block multiple responses on one PC
  • An option to block access to the survey from selected IP addresses. Quanda still does not store respondents' IP addresses.
