A logic email campaign is a Quanda campaign type that sends follow-up emails depending on whether the recipient clicked a tracked link. You create it in the top Emails menu with Create a new Campaign and the Event-triggered card, which is how the app labels the logic campaign. Recipients who click the marked link get the next email from the "Yes" branch, those who do not click get the email from the "No" branch.

What a logic campaign is good for

We use this campaign type most often for invitations to a workshop or a talk with a fixed date. The invitation has a sign-up button. A set number of days before the event, Quanda sends a reminder to everyone who did not click the button and practical information to those who signed up. You can build any scenario where a click signals interest the same way, for example interest in a specific product.

This is what an invitation and two follow-up emails can look like:

How to create a logic campaign

  1. In the top Emails menu, click Create a new Campaign.
  2. Type a name you will recognize in the campaign overview into the name field.
  3. On the Event-triggered card, click Create.
  4. On the Settings page, check the fields described below.
  5. Click Save → Recipients and continue by choosing the recipients.

What to set on the Settings page

  • Name: the name of the campaign, recipients do not see it.
  • Status: shows which phase the campaign is in. Before sending it has to be Ready to use.
  • Language: the language of the supporting texts of the email, that is the unsubscribe text, the unsubscribe page and the link for viewing the email in a browser. If you send an email to German speaking recipients, choose German and all these texts will be in German.
  • Content category: if you have categories set up in the account settings, recipients can choose on the unsubscribe page which content they want to receive from you.
  • Project Manager: the user who creates and manages the campaign.
  • Co-workers: users who have permission to work on the campaign and see it in their overview.

Who sees the campaign depends on the user role. Admin and Manager see all campaigns. Project manager and Seller only see campaigns they created or in which they are among the co-workers. A Seller therefore has to add themselves to the Co-workers field. Otherwise they lose access to the campaign after saving the Settings page and cannot continue preparing it.

The data on the Settings page can no longer be changed once the logic campaign has been sent.

How to finish the campaign

You go through a logic campaign in five steps, each has its own page in the campaign's left menu:

  1. Recipients: you choose the contacts who get the first email.
  2. Email Editor: you create all emails and mark the tracked links.
  3. Event-triggered Settings: you arrange the emails into a tree with Yes and No branches and set the number of days between levels.
  4. Sending Settings: you choose the sender, test the emails and send or schedule the campaign.
  5. Statistics: you track the results of each email separately.

Frequently asked questions

A logic email campaign is a Quanda campaign type that sends follow-up emails depending on whether the recipient clicked a tracked link in the previous email. Recipients who clicked get the email in the Yes branch, the others get the email in the No branch. The campaign has up to three levels of emails.

Most often for an invitation to an event with a fixed date. People who sign up through the button in the invitation get practical information, people who do not click get a reminder before the event. Any scenario where a click signals interest, for example in a specific product, works the same way.

In a logic campaign the time is counted from sending the previous email, so everyone gets the follow-up email at the same moment. Automation in a simple campaign reacts to an event for each recipient separately. Use automation when you need to react to a click right away and a logic campaign for a scenario with fixed dates.

Admin and Manager see all campaigns in the account. Project manager and Seller only see campaigns they created or in which they are listed as Co-workers. A Seller therefore has to add themselves to the Co-workers field, otherwise they lose access to the campaign after saving the Settings page.
