Completed surveys are a list of all submitted surveys: for each one you see when it was filled in, how long it took, who filled it in and which files the respondent attached. You find them in the survey detail on the Completed Surveys page, where you also download the answers to Excel or CSV and add labels to respondents.

What the table of completed surveys shows
- Filled in: the date and time the survey was submitted.
- Total Time / page: how long the respondent spent on the survey in total and on each page.
- Respondent: the respondent's name and email, if Quanda knows them.
- Files: attachments from Upload file questions.
Quanda recognizes the respondent when they filled in the survey from a Quanda email campaign. With a link shared outside campaigns, for example on a website, the survey is anonymous. Quanda does not collect or store respondents' IP addresses.
How to filter completed surveys
In the Sent from and Sent to fields, choose the date or range of days you are interested in. In the Contains field, type text the completed survey should contain. Then click Filter, the Cancel button clears the filter.
How to add a label to respondents
- Select the completed surveys in the table.
- In the Assign label/ labels to all respondents field, pick a label.
- Click Add. The Remove button removes the selected label from the respondents.
You can then use the labels when selecting recipients of your next campaign. A label based on an answer can also be added by the survey automation.
How to download the answers to Excel or CSV
In the top bar on the right there are two export icons: XLSX and right next to it Export surveys to CSV. Both files contain details about the respondent, about filling in the survey and the answers to all questions.
- xlsx: for evaluation in Excel. Open the file with a double click and calculate sums, averages, filters and charts in it right away.
- CSV: for import into another system, for example a CRM. Columns are separated by commas in UTF-8 encoding, so open it in Excel following How to open a CSV file in Excel.

The file contains these columns:
- Sent
- Total time
- Time on page
- Respondent
- Respondent email
- Respondent: Company
- Number of answered questions
- the individual questions and their answers
In the xlsx file, numbers, dates, dates with time and completion times (total time and time on page) are stored as real values, not as text. Text answers always stay text, even if they look like a formula.
What the numeric value column means
For scale questions, right next to the column with the text of the answer there is a column ending with (numeric value). It contains the answer converted to a number:
- Satisfaction scale, agreement scale and single choice scale: the position of the selected option.
- Star and smiley rating: the number from the rating.
Answer weights are not exported. The numeric value column is in both xlsx and CSV. You calculate average satisfaction over it with the AVERAGE formula.
Users with the permission to export completed surveys can export. You download the answers of selected respondents only from the response analysis after applying the Advanced Results Filter.
Summary results with charts are in the response analysis.

Frequently asked questions
On the Completed Surveys page, click the XLSX icon in the top bar on the right. Open the xlsx file in Excel with a double click, importing it via Data, From Text/CSV is no longer needed. Numbers, dates and times are real values in it, so Excel calculates with them right away.
Download the completed surveys to xlsx. Next to the column with the answer to a scale question you find a column ending with (numeric value), and you calculate the average over it with the AVERAGE formula, for example =AVERAGE(F2:F500).
The respondent was anonymous because they filled in the survey from a link shared outside Quanda campaigns, for example on a website. You only see the name and email of respondents who came from a Quanda email campaign.
Select the completed surveys in the table, pick the label in the Assign label/ labels to all respondents field and click Add. The Remove button takes the label away again. This works for respondents Quanda recognizes.
In the Files column of each completed survey. You can download the attachments from the Upload file question there.
No. Quanda does not collect or store the IP addresses of survey respondents. The column with the sending address shows the address (URL) of the page the respondent submitted the survey from, not their IP address.
