You create an online survey in the Surveys top menu with Create a new Survey: you name the survey, choose your own survey or a ready-made template from the library and on the Settings page set the language, the project manager and the co-workers. An online survey is a set of questions the respondent fills in in a web browser, and Quanda evaluates the answers for you.

Use surveys to measure customer and employee satisfaction, to check customer loyalty or for research in HR, IT, company event planning, healthcare and education.

How to create a survey

  1. In the top menu under Surveys, choose Create a new Survey.
  2. In the window that opens, type the survey name into the header in place of Write a survey name.
  3. Choose how you want to start:
    • My own survey: you prepare your own questions, pagination, branching and distribution. Click Create a new Survey.
    • Survey from the Survey Library: pick a ready-made survey in the dropdown menu, for example Customer satisfaction survey, and click Create a new Survey. The template also includes an email invitation and you can edit both.
  4. Quanda creates the survey and opens its detail. You find the Settings page in the left menu of the survey.

You can browse and try ready-made surveys in the Questionnaire library.

How to set up the survey

On the Settings page under General settings you fill in these fields:

  • Name: the survey name, you can change it at any time.
  • Status: a new survey is Under Construction. The survey link is activated once you switch the status to Ready to use. When the research is over, choose Closed.
  • Language: the language of the survey control buttons. If you send the survey to German speaking recipients, for example, choose Deutsch (DE) and the buttons appear in German.
  • Project Manager: the user responsible for the survey.
  • Co-workers: other users who see the survey in the survey overview after logging in to Quanda.

Save the settings with Save or go straight on to building the questions with Save → Survey.

Who can see the survey

What a user sees in the survey overview depends on their role:

  • The Admin role sees all surveys no matter who their manager is.
  • The Project manager role sees the surveys it created and the surveys it was invited to.
  • The Consultant role sees only the surveys it was invited to. When a consultant creates a new survey, they have to add themselves as a co-worker. Otherwise they lose access to the survey after saving the Settings page and cannot continue preparing it.

This lets you build a team of several people and split the work. You will find details in the guide User roles.

What comes after the setup

You add questions on the Survey page, as described in Building a survey: question types. Send the finished survey out following the Distribution guide.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. In the new survey window, choose the survey from the Survey Library and pick a template, for example Customer satisfaction survey. The template includes an email invitation, and you can edit both the survey and the invitation to fit your needs.

Language sets the language of the survey control buttons respondents see. If you send the survey to German speaking customers, for example, choose Deutsch (DE) and the buttons will be in German.

On the Settings page, select them in the Co-workers field and save the settings. Your colleague then sees the survey in the survey overview after logging in to Quanda.

The link starts working once you switch the survey status from Under Construction to Ready to use. You can do this on the Settings page or on the Distribution page.

Switch its status to Closed. No new answers come in and the results stay in the response analysis and the final report.
