You select the recipients of the "Birthday wishes" and "Name day wishes" campaigns on the Recipients page with contact tags.

Unlike an email series, the tags only define the group of contacts whose date Quanda checks every day. For the "Birthday wishes" campaign it compares the Date of birth field with today's date, for the "Name day wishes" campaign the Name day or anniversary field. When the dates match, Quanda sends the contact the wishes.

How to select recipients of the wishes

  1. In the Labels field, select one or more tags. The Labels button next to the field opens tag management.
  2. In the Send from selected contacts to these segments part, turn the segments by openability on or off: Fans, Active, Inactive, Sleeping, Zombies and Ghosts. Quanda does not send the wishes to contacts in a segment that is turned off. How the segments are created is described in the article Contact scoring by open rate.
  3. Click Save and E-mail Editor and continue by creating the wishes.

By assigning and removing tags you can add groups of contacts to the campaign or exclude them even when the campaign is already running. You assign tags manually, by import, or through an automation in an email campaign, a form or a survey. This way you can add to the group for the wishes, for example, contacts that clicked in an email, submitted a form or chose a particular answer in a survey.

Quanda always excludes unsubscribed contacts from the mailing.

Frequently asked questions

Tags only define the group of contacts whose dates Quanda checks every day. Only contacts whose date of birth, or Name day or anniversary field for name day wishes, matches today get the wishes.

Yes. Assigning a tag adds the contact to the campaign, removing it takes the contact out. You do not have to stop the campaign.

An automation in an email campaign, a form or a survey can assign the tag. This way you add, for example, contacts who submitted a form.

Most often the Date of birth or Name day or anniversary field is empty. Contacts in a segment that is turned off and unsubscribed contacts do not get the wishes either.
