You create an active form in the Forms top menu with Create a new Form: on the Settings page you enter the name, language and form manager, and in the drag and drop editor you build the fields, the look and the action after submitting. An active form is mainly used to collect email addresses, and every submission creates a contact in Quanda.
You place it on your website as an embedded or an animated form. An animated form, meaning a pop-up or slide-out form, suits newsletter signups. Use an embedded form for a seminar registration, for example. You set up the animation following Form animation.
How to create a form step by step
- In the top menu under Forms, choose Create a new Form.
- On the Settings page, fill in the general settings, see below.
- Click Save → Form and the form editor opens.
- Drag the fields and elements you need from the Fields tab into the form and adjust the look on the Design tab.
- Click the gear icon and set what happens after submitting.
- Edit the thank-you page on the Thank-you page tab.
- Continue to the Automation page and then to Embed Code.
The left form menu holds the pages Settings, Form, Automation, Double opt in, Embed Code and Saved forms.
How to fill in the general settings
On the Settings page under General settings you fill in:
- Form Name: a name for your internal records, visitors do not see it.
- Status: a new form is Under Construction. It starts working on your website when it is Ready to use. To edit a live form, switch it to Paused, and when the campaign is over, to Closed.
- Language: the language of the form, for example for the "Powered by" text in the footer.
- Form Manager: the user responsible for the form, who receives the summary notice about submitted forms.
- Show form also to the users: other users who see the form in the forms overview after logging in to Quanda.
What a user sees in the forms overview depends on their role:
- The Admin role sees all forms no matter who their manager is.
- The Project manager role sees the forms it created and the forms it was invited to.
- The Consultant role sees only the forms it was invited to. When a consultant creates a new form, they have to add themselves to the Show form also to the users field. Otherwise they lose access to the form after saving the Settings page and cannot continue preparing it.
You will find details in the guide User roles.
How to build the form in the editor
The form editor works with drag and drop: you drag elements with your mouse from the right panel onto the form canvas.

- Form and Thank-you page: tabs for the form and for the page shown after submitting.
- Computer and phone icons: switch between the desktop and mobile versions. You can design the mobile version separately, Quanda asks when switching whether you want a different design for mobile devices.
- Form size: width and height in pixels. The default size is 600 × 475 px on desktop and 393 × 602 px on mobile.
- The Fields tab: fields from Contacts and Companies and Other elements, meaning headings, text, image, video, consent, checkbox, dropdown menu, line and rectangle.
- The Design, Animation, CSS and Layers tabs: the look, the animation, custom styles and the order of elements.
A new form contains the First name, Last name and Email fields, consent to the processing of personal data and a Submit button. Keep the email field required. Every additional required field lowers the number of submissions, so ask only for details you will really use.
What happens after the form is submitted
In the editor, click the gear icon at the top right above the form. In the section for the action after submitting the form, you choose:
- Stay on the page: the form is submitted and the visitor stays on the page.
- Show a thank-you message: the thank-you page from the Thank-you page tab replaces the form.
- Redirect to another page: the visitor goes to the web address you enter, for example a thank-you page on your website.
In the same window you turn on the "Powered by" line and the option that blocks multiple submissions of the form from one PC.
What to do before putting the form on your website
Set up automations, at least a label you can use to find contacts from the form. If you want to verify email addresses, turn on double opt-in. Then copy the code on the Embed Code page following Inserting the form code. The same page has an address that displays the form as a web page, where you can test the form before launch.
Forms created before October 6, 2026 are still edited in the original editor for now, new forms are created only in the new one.
