You turn on form animation in the form editor on the Animation tab with the Enable form animation toggle. Then you choose the position on the screen, the direction and speed of the slide and when the form should appear to the visitor. An animated form slides out or pops up on the page as a window, while an embedded form is part of the page.
When to use an embedded form and when an animated one
An embedded form appears at the spot on the page where you insert its code and looks like part of the page. It works well for event registration or below an article. If you want an embedded form, do not turn animation on and skip this guide.

An animated form draws attention with motion, so it suits newsletter signups or an ebook offer.

How to set up the animation step by step
- In the form editor, click the Animation tab in the right panel.
- Turn on the Enable form animation toggle.
- In the Animation settings section, click the position on the screen where the form should appear, for example the center or the bottom right corner.
- In the Slide out the form section, choose the Direction (for example from bottom) and the Speed of the animation.
- In the Display settings section, decide when the form appears, see below.
- Under the gear icon next to Animation settings, add the additional animation settings.

When the form appears
In the Display settings section, you pick one of two options:
- Show the form when the page loads: immediately or after a set number of seconds (Wait).
- Show the form only after a specific part of the page is displayed: the form appears when the visitor scrolls to the spot where you inserted the form code. Also immediately or after a delay.
Quanda does not offer showing the form when a visitor is leaving the page (exit intent).
What the additional animation settings include
Clicking the gear icon next to Animation settings opens the additional animation settings:
- A dark background that also stops the content behind the form from moving.
- Closing the form automatically after a period of inactivity.
- Showing the form again even if the visitor has already filled it in and submitted it. Usually keep this off so the form does not bother people who have already signed up.
- How long the form stays hidden for a visitor who closed it.
How to time an animated form and how many fields to put in it is covered in the article Animated pop-up forms. Track how well the form performs in the CTR column of the forms overview, which shows the ratio of submissions to views.
