You connect Raynet CRM and Quanda on both sides: the API key from Raynet goes into Quanda in the Extensions & Integrations section, and the API key from Quanda goes into Raynet in the Marketing - Quanda extension. Then you export clients, contact persons and leads from Raynet into Quanda, tags included, and send them email campaigns.

What you need

  • an active account in Quanda and in Raynet, trial versions are enough, see Starting a trial,
  • the Admin role in Quanda, otherwise you will not see the Extensions & Integrations section,
  • the Admin role in Raynet, so that you can create an API key.

How to set up the Raynet connection in Quanda

  1. In Raynet, click your profile in the top right corner. You will find your instance name in the About Raynet CRM section.
  2. In the same menu, open Settings, then API Keys on the left, and create a key with the green New API Key button. Copy it.
  3. In Quanda, click the three dots / Extensions & Integrations and select Raynet CRM on the left.
  4. In the Connection settings section, fill in the Username (email) you used to create the key, the API key and the Instance name.
  5. Click Verify connection settings. If everything is fine, a green message appears. If there is an error, check the data you entered and verify again.

Below the connection settings you decide how the data is transferred:

  • What data to transfer: for Clients and Contact persons you tick whether the transfer runs on Record Created, Record Updated or Record Deleted. When a record is deleted, it is removed in Quanda too.
  • What is to happen on Quanda's side: for contacts, companies and their labels you choose Overwrite (the data in Quanda is replaced with data from Raynet) or Don't overwrite (an existing contact or company is skipped, labels are only added to the original ones). Labels can be created, for example, from the client category, classification, relationship, status or rating.
  • Additional integration settings: writing the automatically created salutation into Raynet, deleting records in Quanda when they are invalidated in Raynet and three unsubscribe sync options, see below.

The Additional integration settings section has three checkboxes for the unsubscribe sync. All of them are off by default, and the Activated column shows the date you turned the option on.

  • Write unsubscribes to Raynet: direction from Quanda to Raynet. An unsubscribe or resubscribe of a contact in Quanda is written to Raynet as the Do not send campaigns flag and the Do not send emails tag. Without this option nothing is written to Raynet.
  • Unsubscribe by person: direction from Raynet to Quanda. The contact is unsubscribed according to the Do not send campaigns flag on the contact person.
  • Unsubscribe by client: direction from Raynet to Quanda. The contact is unsubscribed according to the Do not send campaigns flag on the client, by the email in its primary address.

Turning the integration off turns off all three options. After turning the integration on again, tick them again.

Finally, click Turn on integration.

One export transfers up to 5,000 contacts. It can take up to 15 minutes before they appear in Quanda. Up to 2 email addresses are transferred per contact.

What is transferred from Raynet to Quanda

Record in Raynet Where in Quanda Transferred data
Client company list (a client recorded as a private person is also created as a contact) name, owner, company ID, contact persons, email, mobile, tags
Contact person contact list, can be added to campaigns title, gender, salutation, first name, last name, date of birth, client, tags, owner, email 1, email 2, phone, mobile, street and number, city, zip code, country
Lead contact list, can be added to campaigns first name, last name, client, tags, email 1, email 2, phone, mobile, street and number, city, zip code, country
Do not send campaigns flag on a person or client unsubscribe status of the contact ticking unsubscribes the contact from all purposes of processing, unticking turns on the default purpose (the safeguard below applies)

Email 2 is for your records only, Quanda campaigns are not sent to it. The Pipedrive connection works in a similar way.

Unsubscribe sync between Quanda and Raynet

Email unsubscribes sync both ways and cover contact persons as well as clients. What is synced is set by the three options in the Additional integration settings section, see above.

From Raynet to Quanda

  1. In Raynet, tick Do not send campaigns on a contact person, or on a client in the contact details of its primary address.
  2. Raynet sends Quanda a webhook. Quanda loads the record and finds the contact by email.
  3. The contact is unsubscribed from all purposes of processing, just as if they had clicked the unsubscribe link in an email. If no purpose is active any more, nothing happens.
  4. In the contact detail, the Details section shows a Raynet CRM update saying that email sending was cancelled for the listed purposes, separated by commas.
  5. Quanda also ticks Do not send campaigns on the client or person with the same email, so that both Raynet records show the same.

When you untick the flag in Raynet, Quanda turns on the default purpose of processing for the contact, not all the earlier purposes. The safeguard described below applies. Deleting a person in Raynet behaves according to the Record Deleted setting of the entity.

From Quanda to Raynet

A consent change that really changes the contact's status in Quanda is written to Raynet:

  • an unsubscribe via the link in an email,
  • a manual unsubscribe in the contact detail,
  • a change of a purpose of processing and a manually added purpose,
  • consent expiry during the periodic check,
  • a double opt-in confirmation from a web form.

A bulk contact import does not write consents to Raynet.

Quanda writes the Do not send campaigns flag and the Do not send emails tag to every person and every client in Raynet with the same email, regardless of letter case. On resubscribe it clears the flag and removes the tag. Other persons of the client with a different email are not changed.

The write runs in the background after the change is saved in Quanda, nobody waits for Raynet. A Raynet error does not undo the unsubscribe in Quanda, and a failed write is not retried. An unsubscribe from one of several purposes is written to Raynet as a full unsubscribe only when it turns off the last active purpose.

When a contact subscribes again after unticking in Raynet

An unticked flag is the default state of every record in Raynet, so on its own it does not restore a consent that the customer withdrew in Quanda. The contact subscribes again only when both of these hold:

  • the Raynet record still carries the Do not send emails tag that Quanda added when unsubscribing, or the last consent change of the contact came from Raynet,
  • no other person or client with the same email in Raynet still has the Do not send campaigns flag.

When subscribing a contact again from Raynet, untick the flag on both the person and the client with the same email and leave the Do not send emails tag in place. Quanda removes it itself after the contact subscribes again. If someone in Raynet deletes both the tag and the flag on a contact that unsubscribed via the link in an email, Quanda does not subscribe it again. Subscribe it manually in Quanda in the contact detail. On a Raynet error the contact does not subscribe again.

Turning the integration off and webhooks

Turning the integration off or unticking an entity deletes the webhooks in Raynet in the background. Webhooks that could not be deleted are shown on the integration page in a yellow bar asking you to delete them, and the menu shows a yellow exclamation mark next to Raynet. Opening the page checks the state again and removes the deleted webhooks from the warning. Delete the remaining webhooks manually in Raynet in the extension settings.

Yes. Tick Transfer tags according to CRM when exporting. In Quanda, the What is to happen on Quanda's side section also lets you create labels from the client category, classification or status and decide whether they are overwritten.

The contact subscribes again only when the Raynet record still carries the Do not send emails tag or the last consent change came from Raynet, and at the same time no other person or client with the same email still has the flag. Untick the flag on both the person and the client and leave the tag in place. A consent the customer withdrew via the link in an email, where someone also deleted the tag, can only be restored manually in Quanda.

No. Quanda writes the Do not send campaigns flag and the Do not send emails tag only to persons and clients with the same email as the contact in Quanda. Other persons of the client with a different email are not changed.

No. A bulk contact import does not write consents to Raynet. What is written to Raynet is an unsubscribe via the link in an email, a manual unsubscribe in the contact detail, a change of a purpose of processing, consent expiry and a double opt-in confirmation from a web form.

Quanda adds the tag to a person or client when unsubscribing, together with the Do not send campaigns flag. It shows that the unsubscribe came from Quanda. As long as it stays on the record, the contact can be subscribed again from Raynet by unticking the flag. After the contact subscribes again, Quanda removes the tag itself.
