The new generation of surveys in Quanda took two years of development and testing. It brings your own templates, a new design editor, 22 question types (7 of them new, such as star and smiley ratings or the attitude scale), clearer question building and answer analysis, and prefilling answers via API. For each update you will learn what it does, where to find it in Quanda and when it comes in handy.
In brief
- Save the look of a survey as your own template and reuse it next time with a single click.
- The design editor sets fonts, colours, backgrounds, buttons and the logo down to the last detail.
- Surveys offer 22 question types, now including satisfaction, agreement, attitude and percentage scales, stars and smileys.
- The personal details question saves the respondent straight into Quanda as a contact.
- Expand answer analysis by page or by question, and results update on their own.
- Via API you prefill details you already know, so the survey gets shorter.
In brief: what is new, since when, who it concerns and where to find it
- What is new: your own templates, a design editor, 7 new question types (22 in total), clearer question editing and answer analysis, and prefilled answers via API.
- Since when: the new surveys are available in Quanda right now, nothing needs to be switched on.
- Who it concerns: anyone who collects feedback from customers or employees in Quanda; prefilling via API is most useful for companies with their own CRM or DMS.
- Where to find it: templates when creating a survey, the design editor under the palette icon on the Survey page, the new questions in the question dialog, analysis in the Answer analysis section.
1. Your own survey templates
As soon as you start building a survey, you will notice that new survey templates are ready for you. Use them for inspiration, or design the look of your survey entirely to suit your needs. You can then save the new look as your own template and use it straight away next time. Ready-made surveys including the questions are in the questionnaire library, for example the Employee satisfaction survey split into eight pages.

Tip: Don't want to start from a blank page? The Questionnaire library offers professionally prepared surveys, including invitations, for a range of industries. Each one is ready for you inside Quanda, so all you have to do is adjust it and send it out.
2. A new design editor
If you want to build templates your own way, you have a brand new survey design editor at your disposal. Open it with the palette icon in the white bar on the Survey page. The editor lets you change the fonts, colours, sizes and many other settings of every text in the survey.
You can fine-tune the look down to the last detail, including line height and letter spacing.
Jan SpáčilCEO QuandaThe new design editor lets you set a colour, a gradient or an image as the background of the whole survey or of the individual question pages. You can change the colours of radio buttons or checkboxes and fine-tune the submit button in detail. It also lets you add your own logo and set its size. And you can turn question numbering on or off.

Tip: Set up the look once with your brand colours and logo and save it as your own template. Every new survey then starts from it, and respondents recognise it as yours at first glance.
3. New question types
We have also added new questions. Quanda now offers 22 question types in total. Besides the original ones, almost all of which we have updated, we have added the Satisfaction scale, Agreement scale, Star rating, Smiley rating and Percentage scale. You can try all 22 types in the clickable examples in the article 6 steps how to create a survey.
We have also added a completely new and interesting question we call the Attitude scale. The respondent picks a value between two opposites, for example between "slow" and "fast". Another new question collects the respondent's personal details. You put it together straight from the Contact fields, and it saves the contact it collects directly into Quanda.

Which question type should you choose? It depends on what you need to find out from the respondent:
| What you want to find out | Suitable question type |
|---|---|
| Overall satisfaction with a service or purchase | Satisfaction scale or Star rating |
| A quick reaction respondents can give even on a phone | Smiley rating |
| Whether a customer would recommend you | NPS (0 to 10 scale) |
| How much the respondent agrees with a specific statement | Agreement scale |
| Perception between two opposites, such as cheap and expensive | Attitude scale |
| An estimate or a level in percent | Percentage scale |
| Contact details of a new prospect | Personal details question |
| A detailed comment in the respondent's own words | Long text |
Tip: Once a survey is completed, Quanda can automatically add a tag to the respondent, send them an email or send you a notification. You set this up in the Automation section, see the guide Automation in a survey.
4. New options for creating and editing questions
We have completely redesigned the dialogs for creating and editing questions. They are now clearer and easier to use. For many questions we have also extended the settings. For a Multiple answers question, for example, you can now set the maximum number of options a respondent may tick, and for a Number (multiple lines) question you can check the minimum or maximum value entered as an answer.
In the question tabs you can also set:
- Settings: a required question, an Other field for a custom answer and the number of columns for the options.
- Logic: a jump to another page or the end of the survey based on the answer.
- Tags: a tag that Quanda assigns to the contact based on their answer.
- Image: an image for the question in JPG or PNG format.
Tags based on answers work when you send the survey with an invitation from Quanda, because Quanda can then recognise the respondent. How to send an invitation is described in the guide Distribution.
Tip: Every extra question lowers the number of completed surveys. According to the Survicate benchmark for 2025, website and in-app surveys with two or three questions had a median response rate of 16%, while those with seven or more questions reached only 6.9%. So split a longer survey into pages and use logic to hide questions that don't apply to everyone. You will find more advice in the article How surveys turn B2B marketing from guesswork into certainty.
5. Clearer answer analysis
We have redesigned the whole answer analysis page. We have also updated the results page that is created when you use the Advanced results filter. In the answer analysis you can now easily expand or collapse all survey questions, individual pages or single questions with their answers.
When you open the results page and the survey has new answers, all questions and their answers update automatically. You no longer have to click the refresh button for each question.

What to do with the results next:
- The Advanced results filter shows answers only from respondents who answered in a certain way or have certain details on their contact or company record.
- Charts and comments can be added to every question in the analysis, see the guide Analysis of answers.
- The final report turns the analysis into a PDF with an introduction, results and a summary that you can download or send by email, see the guide Final report.
- The CSV export in the Completed surveys section contains all answers, the completion time and respondent details, see the guide Completed surveys.
6. Prefilling answers via API
A completely new feature lets you send a survey invitation email via API and prefill some of the answers for the respondent right away. If, for example, you want the respondent to rate a specific product or service, you can fill in its name, the date of sale or other details in the survey.
The respondent immediately sees what they are rating without having to look up and enter that information.
Jan SpáčilCEO QuandaHow it works:
- In Quanda you prepare a transactional email that contains a link to the survey.
- With a separate API call you get the IDs of the survey's questions and answers.
- Your system sends the invitation to a specific contact via API and adds the answers the survey should prefill.
- The respondent can no longer change the prefilled answers. They fill in the other questions themselves.
You can prefill text, dates, numbers, choice questions, dropdown menus, tables and all the new scales, stars, smileys and NPS. Your system can collect the completed answers through a webhook that Quanda calls once a completed survey is saved. The technical steps are in our API documentation, and you create an API key following the guide API documentation and API key.
Tip: Don't ask respondents to fill in details you already have in your system (the car model, the order number, the visit date). Prefill them instead. The survey gets shorter and you can match the answers to a specific order. If you want to send surveys automatically based on events in your CRM or DMS, take a look at Quanda HUB.
What to try in Quanda right now
- Open the design editor with the palette icon and give your survey your brand colours and logo.
- Save the finished look as your own template.
- Replace a plain choice question with a Star rating or Smiley rating.
- Add an NPS question at the end of your survey and watch how the score develops.
- Set up a tag based on the answer so you can reach dissatisfied customers separately.
- Pick a template in the Questionnaire library that matches what you need to find out from your customers.
- Check whether your survey asks for details you could prefill via API.
