Unsubscribed contacts are recipients who clicked the unsubscribe link in an email. Quanda automatically sets their email sending status to Do not send (unsubscribe) and they no longer get into any campaign, whatever tags they have. You find them in the contact list with the Unsubscribe Contacts filter. Keep them in Quanda, they do not count towards your plan limit.
Why an email must contain an unsubscribe link
The law requires every marketing email to contain a link that lets the recipient unsubscribe. On the unsubscribe page, the recipient can choose the content categories they still want, pause emails for three months or unsubscribe completely.
Where you see the unsubscribe on a contact
After the unsubscribe, the Sending Settings section of the contact detail shows the status Do not send (unsubscribe) in the table with the legal basis, purpose of processing and validity.

For contacts connected with Raynet CRM, an unsubscribe can also come from the CRM. When someone in Raynet ticks Do not send campaigns on a person or client, Quanda unsubscribes the contact and the Details section shows a Raynet CRM entry saying that email sending was cancelled for the listed purposes. Details are in Connecting Quanda and Raynet CRM.
How to find all unsubscribed contacts
- In the top menu, open Contacts, Contact list.
- In the Labels field above the list, select Unsubscribe Contacts.
- Click Filter.

The reasons why people unsubscribe are in Statistics & Analysis, Unsubscribes settings and analysis.
Why not delete unsubscribed contacts
Keep unsubscribed contacts in Quanda so they stay properly recorded. Deleting them would lose the history of sent emails and the record that the person unsubscribed. With the next import you could add them to recipients again and send an email they do not want. Unsubscribed contacts also do not count towards the contact limit of your plan. You cannot delete them in bulk, more in Why can't I delete all the selected contacts?
Can you still send anything to an unsubscribed contact
Not a campaign. Only transactional emails sent through the API get past an unsubscribe, for example an order confirmation. You must not send marketing emails to an unsubscribed contact.
Tip: When a customer replies to a bulk email that they do not want any more messages, click the unsubscribe link in their email yourself. Quanda sets the status the same way as if they clicked it, and you do not have to look for the contact in the list.

We do not recommend it. Deleting them loses the history of sent emails and the record that the person unsubscribed. With the next import you could then add them to recipients again by mistake. You cannot delete them in bulk, only one by one.

Yes, if you have the Raynet CRM connection and the unsubscribe sync options turned on. Ticking Do not send campaigns on a person or client in Raynet unsubscribes the contact in Quanda from all purposes of processing, and the contact Details get a Raynet CRM entry.
