Once Quanda finishes the contact import, it shows the Import results: how many contacts and companies it imported, how many contacts it updated, how many rows it skipped because of duplicate e-mails and how many rows contained an error. The results arrive by e-mail and you also find them at the very bottom of the Contacts / Bulk Contacts Import page in the Results of the last import section.

What the import results contain
- Imported contacts and companies: new records the import created.
- Updated contacts: contacts that were already in Quanda and where the import added or overwrote data according to the chosen priority.
- Skipped contacts: rows with an e-mail address that repeats in the file or already exists in Quanda while you gave priority to the existing data. Every contact in Quanda has a unique e-mail, so duplicates are not loaded.
- Faulty records: rows that could not be imported, with a detailed error table.
- Date and time of the import start and completion. The Print button prints the results, the Close → Contacts button takes you to the contact list.
How to read the error table
When some contacts could not be imported, you find a table with a detailed list below the results. Each row shows:
- the row number in the file you imported the contacts from,
- the column of the file the value was read from,
- the field in Quanda the value was meant for,
- the faulty value, for example an invalid e-mail address or a date in the wrong format.
How to fix the errors
- When you see just a handful of faulty records, add or correct these contacts by hand directly in Quanda.
- When there are more errors, correct the data in the source file and repeat the import. Quanda recognises already imported contacts by their e-mail and does not duplicate them.
- When you got the file by exporting from a CRM, accounting or other program, correct the data there as well, so that the next export is fine. How to prepare the file is described in the article Export of contacts and preparation for their import.
- When accented characters display incorrectly after the import, the guide to fixing the encoding will help.
