Is the email marketing dead?

In spite of a massive development of the social media, the email marketing remains still very effective, cheap and well quantifiable marketing tool. If you are deciding whether to include the email marketing to your marketing activities, make sure your customers truly use an email.

What the studies say?

The recent survey shows that only 11 % of teenagers rely on an email as a tool for communication with their friends. This study also indicates that the email and the searching remain most popular online activities, when 90 % of respondents said they used the email and 61 % of them even use it on a daily basis.
These numbers are even higher in a group of respondents at the age of 18-29 years. 94 % of them use the email as a form of communication, and 64 % of them use it on a daily basis. 

What does it imply?

The emails still remain one of the best ways how to approach your customers. The fact that especially the young generation prefers Facebook or Twitter for communication between each other doesn´t mean the email as a marketing tool is dead. On the contrary, the email represents an unrivalled tool for accurate targeting of your communication and it remains a useful tool for sales promotion and reinforcing of the attitude to your brand.
